Media Management System to Jakarta

Test & Demo Center

Test and demo center in Jakarta

QSi Holding Limited has delivered a new version of the Media Management System (MMS) to the test and demo center located in PT. Delphi Utama premises in Cikini, Jakarta, Indonesia.

The Media Management System has primarily been used in the United Arab Emirates for distributing media to The Terminal, QSi Holdings hospitality product, which is installed in over 60 **** and ***** star hotels in the Middle East.

But now a new improved version has been delivered to Indonesia and will after a testing and training period be connected to the DA4RID installation at Jakarta-Kota station.

The Media Management System enables media agents and advertisers to upload their own campaigns (contract, exclusive, time exclusive and remnant campaigns), monitor campaign progress and retrieve statistics from one or more QSi products in Indonesia. The aim of the system is to securely distribute media data and provide continuous access to vital campaign information.

PRESS RELEASE

Indonesian experts share their skills with communities in other developing countries

_______________________________________________________________
A pilot project run by VSO Indonesia and the Dirjen Binapenta Departemen Tenaga Kerja dan Transmigrasi Republik Indonesia.

Voluntary Service Overseas (VSO) Indonesia in cooperation with Dirjen Binapenta seek to recruit five (5) Indonesian professionals who will be placed in VSO partner organisations in several developing countries around the world as International Volunteers.

VSO is an international organisation that fights poverty and disadvantage through skilled professionals, who volunteer their time to share their expertise with local organisations and communities in developing countries. VSO is active in more than 40 countries around the world, including Indonesia. In Indonesia since 1968, VSO deploys international volunteer professionals working through partnership with local government institutions or NGOs in NTT and South Sulawesi, on Livelihoods and Disability projects.

For half a century, VSO has been recruiting volunteers aged between 25 and 75 to live and work in the heart of local communities. Currently, VSO has recruitment centres in the UK, Canada, the Netherlands, Ireland, India, Kenya and the Philippines.

In 2009, VSO signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Dirjen Binapenta. According to the MOU, VSO will manage a pilot project sending Indonesian volunteer professionals overseas. The project will be evaluated at the end of the Indonesian volunteer’s 2-year term.

We believe that Indonesian professionals are able to take up this important role of making changes for a better world, through sharing their knowledge, talents, experience and skills with local organisations and communities in other developing countries.

The recruitment criteria, the terms and conditions and mechanism would be equal to those of other countries. This pilot project would be managed by VSO Indonesia and VSO Bahaginan from the Philippines, that manages the closest recruitment centre in Asia.

VSO believes that volunteers should neither lose money nor make a profit from volunteering. The package of benefits received by volunteers is designed with this in mind.

This pilot project commences in August 2010. The recruitment process will consist of application and selection between September and October 2010. The deadline for submitting application forms is 3 September 2010. It is expected that the five Indonesian volunteer professionals will start their overseas postings between November 2010 and March 2011, depending on them being matched with available placements in VSO partner organisations in other developing countries.

Next to the valuable contributions volunteers are making during their placements, volunteers say they return to their own country equipped with invaluable professional experience, a wealth of memories, and a whole new perspective on life. It is clear that it would be a great contribution to the development of Indonesia and its skilled workforce, if Indonesians volunteered their time and skills as VSO volunteers.

VSO is distributing information about this pilot project through mailing lists, internet job sites, as well as a video advertisement at the Kota train station in Jakarta. This video advertisement has been made possible through our collaboration with QSi Holding Limited and their representative in Indonesia, PT Delphi Utama.
