DA4FID in Batam Hang Nadim Airport Now Operational
DA4FID, Digital Advertisement for Flight Information Displays, is since 3 February 2012 in live operations on all displays in Batam Hang Nadim Airport. After extensive testing of the hard- and software and the accurate presentation of dynamic flight data on the displays, green light was given by the management of Batam Hang Nadim Airport.

The DA4FID software combines flight information with digital advertisement. Installation in Batam is the major first step in a strategy to expand DA4FID installations throughout Indonesian airports over the coming years.

The medium DA4FID enables digital advertisement videos or graphics on almost 70% of the 46 inch size displays. Local, national and international advertisers can utilize the medium for their marketing purposes.

Batam Hang Nadim Airport is a medium size airport with on average 3,700 passengers per day, or over 1,4 million passengers. In total fifty-three displays are installed throughout the departure entrance and check-in hall in ground floor, shopping area and waiting rooms in the upper floor, as well as in the luggage hall and arrival area on ground floor.

On the 29th of November 2011 PT. Delphi Utama President R.H. Wido Rahardjo signed the first “The Central” contract on behalf of DU-QSi, with PT. Supermal Karawaci Managing Director Heru Nasution.

DU-QSi has obtained media rights in Supermal Karawaci, and will provide the Digital Media System The Central including infrastructure equipment and Media Management software, operating on 40 displays connected via broadband infrastructure throughout the mall.

The Central software combines content information, recorded or streaming events, or television entertainment with digital advertisement. Since 20 September 2011 both Kereta Api stations Bogor and Gambir are operating DA4RID. They are the second and third train station to be operational, after Jakarta Kota that served as pilot station since September 2009.

Gambir is the largest long distance station in central Jakarta, where every day more then 12,000 passenger depart with business class or executive class trains to cities in Java island. A total of 12 displays of 46 inch has been installed in the north and south lobbies, above all ticket counters, and in the first floor waiting area.

Bogor is the largest commuter station outside Jakarta, with every day more than 35,000 passengers departing in economy class for Depok or Jakarta. A total of 4 displays of 46 inch has been installed in the central lobby as well as above ticket counters. One projection banner of 4.30 x 1.70 meter is placed clearly visible in the lobby.

With these new installations DA4RID has reached coverage of more than 74,000 daily passengers, or 27 million annual passengers. With an average efficiency of more than 50%, the medium is becoming an attractive digital innovation for advertisers who aim to launch large scale campaigns to a broad spectrum of demographical groups.
